Our Story

Two of our founders worked in their university dining hall, where they witnessed firsthand the inefficiencies and physically demanding nature of dishroom operations. Long hours handling dirty dishware revealed a clear gap in automation for institutional kitchens.

Motivated to create a better solution, they founded Cleanslate Robotics in 2026 alongside a team of students from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

We aim to reduce operational costs while improving food safety standards across hospitals, schools, corporate cafeterias, and other high-volume food service operations.
